Capital Games is a French Association aiming at calling up the public institutions concerning Paris region's video game industry potential, and managing that the Parisian region become part of the three major French excellence center for development and production of video games.

 

With its training division, Capital Games in partnership with local associations, launches training cycles dedicated to video game and partially financed for Capital Games members.

 

The collective training initiative Capital Games / OPCALIA IDF offers to its members (video game companies) to financially cover the Paris Master Classes trainings.

The aim of the founders of the IMAGINOVE cluster / pole of competitiveness is to develop synergies between the different sectors of the moving image (video game, cinema, audiovisual animation and multimedia) by encouraging anticipantion and stimulating the innovation of professionals.


Devoted to the production and distribution of multimedia content, the cluster ambitions to become the leading reference in Europe within 5 years. Imaginove's ambition is directed at the strong and competitive centres of the moving image in Rhône-Alpes (650 companies, 23 research laboratories, 28 educational programmes related to the moving image), but also at international events such as the Game Connection, the International Animation Film Festival and Market of Annecy, and the Serious Games Sessions.

The Paris Game AI Conference is the most passionate event about artificial intelligence in game development, and the largest independent gathering on the topic, set to take place June 23-24 2010.  It addresses procedural animation (keynote by Ken Perlin), creating good gameplay (feature from DICE about BATTLEFIELD: BAD COMPANY 2), and building believable NPCs (invited talk by Bruce Blumberg on WORLD OF ZOO).  The conference brings together the leading programmers from game studios in Europe and beyond!
