The Paris Master Classes are expert training classes, to let professionals in the video games industry perfect their skills in a number of fields relating to the sector. The Paris Master Classes offer more 20 Master Classes, based on the following themes: Programming, Visual Arts, Production, Game Design and Business.
These Master Classes are unique, as they offer intensive and in-depth training. We are offering participants the chance to spend between 7 and 14 hours with a recognised expert – a Master – who will share his expertise and diverse experience with a group of 20 people maximum, encouraging interaction, proposing case studies, practical exercises, and providing personalised support to each participant. With their expertise in video games (for more information please refer to the heading About > Connection Events), the Connection Events team is doing everything to offer Master Classes on the key themes in video games, to be as relevant as possible and to meet the needs of professionals in the sector, today and in the future. The Paris Master Classes are essential for 7 reasons:
1. Training based on current issues: the themes are developed and validated by professionals in video game development.
2. Recognised experts: The instructors are selected from among the best international professionals in the sector for their technical skills, their participation in a leading game and/or their participation in a first-rank studio. All Masters are paid and have their expenses reimbursed.
3. Practical skill development: teaching lasts 7 or 14 hours (depending on the programme) using theory, case studies, feedback and applied exercises.
4. An adapted format: for better communication, classes are restricted to small groups (no more than 20 participants per Master Class). Prior registration is mandatory and lets the instructors personalise the training.
5. A wealth of opportunity: the participants can ask the instructor questions, interact with him, raise their professional questions and issues.
6. Intensive networking: time to meet informally and in a relaxed atmosphere over the two days (lunches, breaks, evening). This lets participants get to know each other, chat with their peers and relax.
7. Certification: a training certificate is given to participants by the Master
